At Habitat for Humanity, we believe in creating inclusive and welcoming environments for every volunteer. The Veterans Community Day Build Event is part of our Community Days program to offer safer, intentional, and fun spaces for all those who identify as members of any military community including active duty, veterans, National Guard/reserves, and spouses to come together and build community-all while supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity. This event will be hosted at our Myrtlewood Way, 17640 Northeast Glisan St, Gresham, build site. Come on November 8th from 8:30am-3:00pm, to enjoy a full day of building, learning and connecting! No experience is necessary to participate! Volunteers at our Veterans Community Day Build Event will work under the guidance of construction staff and alongside other volunteers. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share. Please wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and comfortable clothing you do not mind becoming dirty.
