Who We Are
We are happy to meet you!
The Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home decor, appliances, building materials, light fixtures, and more to the public at discounted prices. All proceeds support local Habitat for Humanity homebuilding programs.
When you shop, donate, or volunteer at the ReStore, you are supporting our mission of building strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.
In 2020, our team helped to divert 6,133 tons of reusable materials from landfills--and we're working to improve that number. In spite of closures due to the pandemic, we took in 49,031 donations from individuals and business partners in 2020. We earned $67,878 by recycling metal, paint, clothing and other materials. Our shoppers are some of the most creative on the planet. We love how they re-think, re-imagine and re-invent with used materials. Of course, we have to heap praise and appreciation on our generous donors and business partners and our amazing team of over 721 volunteers who clocked over 25,269 hours this past year. Together we're helping to make the dream of homeownership a reality for hardworking families right here in the community.
Volunteer shifts are available seven days a week; scroll down to select your shift. For questions about the Beaverton ReStore, email Liz at Beaverton.Volunteers@habitatportlandregion.org.
What We Do
You don’t have to swing a hammer to build a house!
Our stores are bursting at the studs with fantastic donated materials and we are searching for folks just like you to help us make sense of it all. No experience required. We value teamwork, personality, and dedication to the cause of helping eliminate poverty housing one used hammer, door, washing machine, couch, or toilet at a time!
Spend a few hours a week, a few a month, or make it your mission and join us more often.
Task-specific training every day.
Our volunteers and staff work hard to receive and process donations, stock and merchandise product, provide excellent customer service to our amazing shoppers and donors, and help keep the store tidy and user friendly.
Our staff at the ReStores (and Habitat for Humanity Store) are dedicated to providing top-notch training and support to our incredible crew of volunteers on a daily basis.
We strive for a culture where people of every race, ethnicity, nationality, economic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, size, and disability are welcomed, empowered, and celebrated. Please contact us about any accessibility requirements you have so we can work together to accommodate you.
