What are Pride Community Days?
Welcome to our first Pride Community Days ReStore Event! At Habitat for Humanity, we believe in creating inclusive and welcoming environments for every volunteer. Pride Community Days offer safer, intentional, and fun spaces for all those who identify as LGBTQ+ to come together and build community-all while supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
This event will be hosted at our Gresham ReStore located at 610 NE 181st Ave on Tuesday, July 25th from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Projects:
- Curate apparel from our collection of donated clothes!
- Organize and package donated jewelry!
- Sort through donated merchandise!
- Enhance our sales displays!
- Assist with specialty metal recycling!
No prior experience or knowledge is required to participate! Come together with people of similar lived experiences to learn new skills and create a supportive and empowering community led by Habitat Staff. Please note that some of the Habitat staff on-site the day of the build may identify as cisgender and heterosexual. These staff members are aware of the purpose of these community days and agree with the need to center marginalized communities within construction and trades.
