Welcome to our Women+ Community Days build event for International Women's Day! Habitat’s Women+ Community Days actively welcome and support all those who self-identify as women including women of color, trans women, and other woman-aligned groups, to come together to learn, teach and connect.
This event will be hosted at our Century Commons, 843 Southeast Auburn Lane, Hillsboro, build site. Come on March 8th from 8:15am-3:00pm, to enjoy a full day of building, learning and connecting!
No experience is necessary to participate. Volunteers at our Women+ Community Days build event will work under the guidance of construction staff and alongside other volunteers.
Schedule
- 8:15-8:30: Check-in and morning treats
- 8:30-9:00: Introduction circle and a staff led Safety Brief
- 9:00-11:00: Tool Training in small groups
- 11:00-12:10: Programming and Lunch
- 12:15-2:45: Construction tasks work/clean up
- 2:45-3:00: Ending circle and group photo
Please wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and comfortable clothing you do not mind becoming dirty.
Lunch will be provided by Whole Bowl
