Welcome to our Women+ Community Days build event for International Women's Day! Habitat’s Women+ Community Days actively welcome and support all those who identify as women, including trans women and women across diverse racial and cultural backgrounds, to come together to learn, teach and connect.
This event is hosted by CREW, one of Habitat’s Donor Affinity Groups made up of women+ in our community who fundraise, volunteer, and build together. We’re excited to welcome you to our West Lake Grove build site (16858 Boones Ferry Road, Lake Oswego) build site. Come on March 7th from 8:15am-3:00pm, to enjoy a full day of building, learning and connecting!
No experience is necessary to participate. Volunteers at our Women+ Community Days build event will work under the guidance of construction staff and alongside our Crew Members.
Schedule
- 8:15-8:30: Check-in and morning treats
- 8:30-9:00: Introduction circle and a staff led Safety Brief
- 9:00-11:00: Tool Training in small groups
- 11:00-12:10: Programming and Lunch
- 12:15-2:45: Construction tasks work/clean up
- 2:45-3:00: Ending circle and group photo
Please wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and comfortable clothing you do not mind becoming dirty.
