Welcome to our LGBTQ+ Pride Community Days Construction Build Event!

At Habitat for Humanity, we believe in creating inclusive and welcoming environments for every volunteer. LGBTQ+ Pride Community Days offer safer, intentional, and fun spaces for all those who identify as LGBTQ+ to come together and build community-all while supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity. 

This event will be hosted at our Myrtlewood Way 17640 NE Glisan St. Portland on Saturday June 7th from 8:15am-3:00pm.

No construction experience is required to participate! The day is great for beginners to Habitat for Humanity building with ample opportunity for skill building. 

Schedule

  • 8:15-8:30: Check-in and morning treats
  • 8:30-9:00: Introduction circle and a staff led Safety Brief
  • 9:00-11:00: Tool Training in small groups
  • 11:00-12:10: Programming and Lunch
  • 12:15-2:45: Construction tasks work/clean up
  • 2:45-3:00: Ending circle and group photo

Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you do not mind becoming dirty. 

Lunch will be provided, please bring a water bottle.

Inclement Weather Plan: The site may close in case of inclement weather. This could include poor air quality, unusual cold or extreme heat. Volunteers will be notified via email and text the morning of their shift.
