Welcome to our LGBTQ+ Pride Community Days Construction Build Event!
At Habitat for Humanity, we believe in creating inclusive and welcoming environments for every volunteer. LGBTQ+ Pride Community Days offer safer, intentional, and fun spaces for all those who identify as LGBTQ+ to come together and build community-all while supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
This event will be hosted at our Myrtlewood Way 17640 NE Glisan St. Portland on Saturday June 7th from 8:15am-3:00pm.
No construction experience is required to participate! The day is great for beginners to Habitat for Humanity building with ample opportunity for skill building.
Schedule
- 8:15-8:30: Check-in and morning treats
- 8:30-9:00: Introduction circle and a staff led Safety Brief
- 9:00-11:00: Tool Training in small groups
- 11:00-12:10: Programming and Lunch
- 12:15-2:45: Construction tasks work/clean up
- 2:45-3:00: Ending circle and group photo
Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you do not mind becoming dirty.
Lunch will be provided, please bring a water bottle.
